So, how do you master a programming language? It takes work, lots of work. It also takes an huge amount of time. This is how I am mastering Swift 5.

I’m going to continue to update this post until I master swift. Right now I feel like my current skill level is at a junior level with swift. I couldn’t write a iPhone app without using Google. I want to be able to write an entire app without having to Google the majority of my code. I know I’ll have to use Google some, but I want to be able to write an app with as little help from external sites, like Google or StackOverflow.

If you are here at the beginning fo this, I’m sorry for the article not beginning complete. Please keep checking back for updates or follow me on twitter for updates.

Practice makes permanent

Everyone knows there is no such thing as perfect. But we can be almost perfect at anything we try. Even if it takes you years to do. You can do it. Just have a little faith in yourself. To master a programming language is going to take a lot of practice. A good thing for me is I have plenty of free time.

Pick a programming language

First things first, we need to pick a programming language to master. I’m going to pick the Swift programming language. Swift is used to write apps for the iPhone, iPad and Mac computers. I’ve been playing with Swift for a while now. So I hope the little knowledge I have will help me master it a little quicker.
