Is the iPhone App Store having update problems? It seems that some people including me are having issues updating there apps either through iTunes or on the iPhone. Here is the problem: The app downloads and installs on the iphone. Then the app store still shows that you have an app to update. Once you click on the App store it shows you the app you just installed. If you use iTunes the same thing happens, it just downloads and then shows you that you have an app thats need to be updated. If you check the version of the app is it still the old version. It seems that the previous version is being downloaded and installed. This is affecting both Macs and Windows version of iTunes.
There are posts on Apple Discussion forum and MacRumors Forum. If you are having the same problem let me know, either in the comments or on Twitter.
Have you every wondered what something looks like magnified a 100 or time times it size? I have, so I put my iPhone 3G under a microscope and took a picture of it magnified 100X it’s normal size. If I can I’ll take another picture of it magnified at a 1000 times.
There are so many websites out there telling you different places to start. This is were I started and were I am currently with writing my own iPhone App. Its been a long hard process and I had to start at the very beginning. I didn’t know C Programming, which is the basic language you need to know to start writing for the iPhone. The iPhone uses Cocoa Touch and Objective-C programming language, know C programming just makes it easier. On my trip I been reading a few books. Here is a list of books that will help you with your apps.
I still have a long ways to go before any of my apps make it into the iTunes Apps Store. If there are any books or resources that you might think that would help, please let me know.
I’m starting to dislike iPhone apps that put their settings in the setting section of the iPhone. Am I the only one? I hate it when I need to change the settings and I have to leave the app and go to the setting section and then go back and load the app again.
I know it gives you more room for other things on the user interface, but the little exclamation point doesn’t take much room. I know I might change my mind when I start working on my app. I’ll deal with that when the day comes.
My Apps application on my iPhone is messed up. After upgrading to 3.0 the Apps application was updated to allow redemption codes for free apps. So Apple added a More button and hide the Update apps in the more section. I customized the button location so I would have the Updates on the main screen. Now the More button is gone and I can’t access the redeem code section.
