Things to know about helping Haiti.
Watch out for scams. Don’t open any email asking for help or donations for Haiti. If you want to donate go to a website like the Red Cross, The Salvation Army or UNICEF. Here are a couple reports about Online Charity scams.

News Corp. Deputy Chairman Chase Carey opened the B&C OnScreen summit, he talked about where he sees the business of online content going.
Carey said “It’s time to start getting paid for broadcast content online” and “I think a free model is a very difficult way to capture the value of our content. I think what we need to do is deliver that content to consumers in a way where they will appreciate the value,” Carey said. “Hulu concurs with that, it needs to evolve to have a meaningful subscription model as part of its business.”
I been using Hulu.com since it was in beta and I like it the way it is. If they want to start a subscription base service I don’t think they will get many takers. They would have to provide more content and allow downloads so I could play them on and iPod or iPhone. Oh yeah and NO commercials. With so many options like Amazon, Netflix and iTunes I don’t see a Hulu.com paid service working to well.
The T-Mobile Sidekick Disaster is why Cloud computing will never work. If you rely on Cloud computing and no local back up this will happen alot. Why would you only rely on that? I know its bad to say this but, if you don’t have a local back up of your data and someone else’s server crashes it’s your fault. Not the provider of the service. They should look at Dropbox. If you want your data any where you go Dropbox is the best answer.
Yahoo is reporting that Disney is set to buy Marvel and all its Characters.
The Walt Disney Co. said Monday it is buying Marvel Entertainment Inc. for $4 billion in cash and stock, bringing characters like Iron Man and Spider-Man into the family of Mickey Mouse and WALL-E.
Under the deal, Disney will acquire ownership of 5,000 Marvel characters. Many of them, including the Fantastic Four and the X-Men, were co-created by the comic book legend Stan Lee.
Breitbart.com posted an article about a “super laser” made by the National Ignition Facility. I think this is the first step to the Death Star.
A fusion reaction triggered by the super laser hitting hydrogen atoms will produce more energy than was required to prompt “ignition,” according to NIF director Edward Moses.
“This is the long-sought goal of ‘energy gain’ that has been the goal of fusion researchers for more than half a century,” Moses said.
“NIF’s success will be a scientific breakthrough of historic significance; the first demonstration of fusion ignition in a laboratory setting, duplicating on Earth the processes that power the stars.”
